Frank Mair
Frank Mair is the creator of Longtime. He has followed longevity research since encountering Life Extension by Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw in the 1980s.
Frank designed and built the Longtime Calculator to make the assumptions behind lifestyle-based life-expectancy estimates visible. The model combines national mortality baselines with published food-group dose-response curves and selected lifestyle risk estimates. Its method, clamps, overlaps, and other limitations are documented in How the calculator works.
Frank is not a doctor, registered dietitian, or medical researcher. His role is to build the tool, maintain the site, and keep the calculator’s methods transparent. Articles on Longtime are published under the site name with linked Sources sections rather than a personal byline, and are not represented as professionally reviewed unless a named qualified reviewer has actually reviewed them.
